When can I have a child custody order modified?

In order to have a child custody order modified, you must prove to the Texas family court that you have experienced a change in circumstance. For example, perhaps you have been granted custody of your child and need to relocate, but the other parent has visitation rights. You could have the visitation order modified, if you can convince the court that your change in circumstance requires it.

You can also have your child support order modified if you have lost your job or any form of income, making it impossible for you to afford the support payments that your support order requires. You may also be able to flip custody or change the possession and access schedule, if there have been material and substantial changes to the circumstances of the child(ren).

Call us today and learn how you could modify your various court orders. In our initial consultation, we may even be able to calculate what the modified child support payments could look like.

So where do you begin?

The process begins with an initial consultation so we can learn more about the basics of your case. Oftentimes, the best advice we can give is to simply save your money, because you don’t have a case. If we choose to accept your case, we get straight to work for you.

Best lawyer I could ever ask for! He was always straight forward with me and actually listened to everything I had to say. He helped me understand the process of everything and was able to get me everything I asked and more! Could not have asked for a better lawyer and down to earth guy.
